Under the Peer Audit initiative of HRP Associates, Inc. and Halloran & Sage, LLP, thousands of dollars in fines have been saved by individual colleges and universities. This has been documented by letters to the respective campuses by EPA. This represents more than a 10:1 savings to colleges and universities based on the overall program costs. This savings does not reflect the cost of bad publicity to non-compliant colleges and universities.

Here is what some of our Peer Audit Program clients and auditors have had to say about the program:

"I would like to thank you for your time and the professional manner you conducted the audit in. Everyone on campus has expressed how knowledgeable they found you to be and I have shared your offer of follow-up concerns with the key people. I look forward to working with you next year as an auditor."
- Thomas Heffernan, Dean of Administration, Lynn University

"As a member of our EPA team here at Clearwater Christian College, the team and I have reviewed the Draft Audit Report and find it to be exemplary with no major (or for that matter, minor) changes necessary. I would like for you and your firm to prepare the Final Compliance Report complete with the suggestions for the required corrective actions. The team has already implemented many of the suggestions made in the preliminary reports. All of us at CCC are grateful for the professionalism exhibited in all parts of the Peer Audit and how painless the process has been."
- Jeffrey C. Adams, Esq., In House Counsel, Clearwater Christian College

"It was a pleasure meeting with you and your colleagues regarding our environmental impact. Being "green minded" myself, I am happy to be learning about ways in which we (the photo lab/dept) can positively affect change in this area . . . Any other suggestions you may have to offer for further improvement would be welcomed."
- Angela Helwig, Visiting Instructor of Photography, Barry University

"I would like to express my privilege of having audited with HRP personnel. They all demonstrated exemplary knowledge of their profession, patience with the volunteers, attention to detail, persistence for a job well done, and professionalism. They excellently represented HRP, exhibited leadership skills and demonstrated a passion for environmental health."
- J. Russ Butler, Ph.D., Assistant Chair and Professor, Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences

"This past year's audit and resulting action plan/training has been very helpful to the College. Education and training of faculty/staff was a major benefit to us. We were extremely impressed with the program structure and the way it was administered. HRP staff is very knowledgeable and very effective in interfacing with College staff. Top notch in every respect."
- James Gerrish, Assistant to Vice President, College of Saint Elizabeth

"I would like to thank HRP/H&S staff for working with us on this critical program and helping to make us good environmental stewards of our campus. I would recommend this program without hesitation and would welcome the chance to discuss it with any potentially interested parties."
- Crystal Stitzer, Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, Southern Adventist University

"I am writing to comment on the positive impact that the HRP/Halloran and Sage Environmental Compliance Audit Program has had on our campus. This project was anything but a standard study by an environmental consultant; it was an environmental program that had impacts far beyond what we expected. The training provided by you was professional and interesting. Our staff that was trained was truly impressed by the HRP/H&S presenters. Your skills and knowledge have started a change from within by engaging everyone from the College President, our professors, and the facilities and maintenance staff, in understanding environmental regulations.

By having an audit program conducted by peers in the educational field there was much better cooperation and “buy in” from our staff. The audit took on the persona of a cooperative effort, and not an inspection where people get defensive. This process quickly got to the root of our environmental condition and more importantly showed us how to remedy the problems."
- Dick Taylor, Assistant Vice President for Facilities Management, Shorter College

"Rhodes corrected several compliance issues and averted several hundred thousand dollars in potential fines, which is far more than we spend on the environmental audit program. The training provided was very professional, in-depth and HRP Associates, Inc./Halloran & Sage LLP presented the compliance material in a manner to hold and keep the interest of our group. We did not measure our success by the potential environmental fines that were avoided, but that we corrected environmental compliance problems and trained the members of the Rhodes community to be good environmental stewards of our campus."
- Brian E. Foshee, Director of Physical Plant, Rhodes College
