  • U.S. EPA Brownfields Site - EPA website providing information on the prevention, assessment, safe clean up, and sustainable reuse of brownfields.

  • Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations - Detailed guidance and standards that may be used at any site to determine whether or not remediation of contamination is necessary to protect human health and the environment. 

  • Construction Specifications Institute - An individual membership technical society whose core purpose is to improve the process of creating and sustaining the built environment. Provides technical information and products, continuing education, professional conferences, and product shows.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) - This site provides up-to-date regulatory and technical information on the Hazard Communication standard, the HAZWOPR standard, asbestos standards, compliance, and indoor air quality. All the Title 29 of the CFR is available on-line.

  • The OSHA Interactive Expert Advisors - Informational software regarding general industry hazards, confined spaces, asbestos, lead, fire, and other OSHA issues.

  • National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) - This site has been developed to provide information on the services of NIOSH. This agency is responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related illness and injury. Access to the NIOSH database, NIOSH directory, NIOSH publications, and research agenda are also available.

  • Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) - This site provides access to the Hazardous Substance Release/Health Effects database. This database gives information on the release of hazardous substances from emergency events and Superfund sites.

  • U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) - DOT's site provides access to current news and information from press releases, fact sheets and a searchable information index. Links to other sites such as the Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are also available.

  • USGS home page - USGS home page with biology, geology, mapping and water resources.

  • 1995/1996/1997 Title 40 - Code of Federal Regulations - This site provides the most current version of the Title 40 CFR available on-line. The database is not searchable, but individual sections can be downloaded and printed as they appear in the Code.

  • Government Printing Office Database - This site offers several useful databases including the Federal Register which is updated daily. Other databases include the U.S. Code, the Unified Agenda, and Congressional Bills.

  • University of California, Government Document Search - This site contains a complete list of GPO documents with an easy to use search feature.

  • EPA Sector Notebooks - The EPA Office of Compliance developed this site to provide key indicators that holistically present air, water, and land pollutant release data for 18 selected major industrial groups. Each sector-specific "notebook" provides detailed information on pollution prevention techniques, regulatory requirements, innovative programs, as well as other valuable topics. 

  • National Response Center (NRC) - This site contains background information on the NRC as well as spill reporting information and legislative requirements.

  • The Federal Web Locator Villanova Law School's comprehensive list of federal government agencies, departments, etc. on the Internet.

  • National Resources Defense Council - Features the latest news from Capitol Hill plus information on the state of our air, water, land, and health.

  • Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations - Detailed guidance and standards that may be used at any site to determine whether or not remediation of contamination is necessary to protect human health and the environment.

  • Solvent Alternatives Guide (SAGE) - Provides useful information on solvent substitution and selection of appropriate non-hazardous or less hazardous solvent alternatives.

  • Environmental Recycling Hotline - Provides immediate recycling information in your area when you enter your zip code.

  • National Center of Environmental Information and Technology (NCEIT) - Problem-solving resource center to address environmental problems and promote the development of innovative technologies that promote productivity while protecting the environment.

  • EPA's Envirofacts - This is a relational database combining data from four major EPA programs: RCRIS with information on hazardous waste transporters, generators, and T.S.D.F. facilities; CERCLIS with information on Superfund and NPL sites; TRIS with data on the release and transfer of more than 300 chemicals; and PCS which has data on more than 75,000 water discharge permits.

  • Global Network of Environment and Technology (GNET) - GNET provides continually-updated information on innovative environmental technologies, business and news. GNET seeks to promote sustainable development and environmental remediation through technological innovation.

  • Global Recycling Network (GRN) - GRN is a public site providing a variety of recycling-related information.
