    1:00 pm - 2:00 pm (EST)

    Cost: $50
Presenter: Jeffrey Sotek, PE, CSP, CIH

The Chinese symbol for crisis is danger and opportunity. Distressed assets can surely present dangers and opportunities. When we speak about distressed assets, most people think about properties that are financially distressed. However, the dangers can also be environmentally related, such as abandoned chemicals, asbestos containing materials, mold, leaking USTs, and stormwater erosions.

In this presentation, you will learn about how to protect yourself related to these environmental issues as well as qualify risks if you plan on acquiring the distressed asset. Lastly, we will discuss some incentive programs (e.g., tax credits) that may help get your project off the ground.

    This webinar will cover:

  • How did we get here?
  • Importance of understanding your environmental liabilities
  • Key environmental due diligence tools - Phase Is and IIs
  • Asbestos, lead, radon, mold - those pesky business environmental risks
  • Potential incentives
