HRP
Associates, Inc. provides innovative and cost-effective
water engineering consulting services to clients in both
private and public sectors. Our qualified technical
staff can engineer all phases of wastewater and
stormwater collection, treatment, permitting, and
monitoring.
HRP's
expertise includes: designing industrial and domestic
wastewater treatment systems; troubleshooting of
existing systems; permitting of wastewaters, cooling
waters and stormwater; performing pollution prevention
investigations; and conducting periodic monitoring of
discharges. |
Stormwater
HRP has been providing stormwater engineering and compliance
services since our inception in 1982 and more intensively since
the Phase I regulations were finalized in 1992. Services have
included developing pollution prevention plans, mapping storm
sewer systems, and designing and executing monitoring plans. Our
Phase I work has been supported by the breadth of our expertise
in areas such as hydrologic & hydraulic analysis, utility
design, survey and AutoCad/drafting, and sample collection
protocol.
Since the issuance of EPA’s final Phase II rule in 1999, HRP has
developed a complete understanding of this phase of regulation
and permitting and it’s potential impact on municipal resources,
both budgetary and personnel. We have conducted educational
presentations for public agencies and communities in
Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. We are presently
working with several communities in Connecticut and
Massachusetts to develop Phase II Stormwater Management
Programs.

Wastewater
HRP has completed regulatory permitting across the spectrum of
wastewater discharge situations, including individual NPDES/SPDES
permits, General Permits, and cooling water permits. Our
professional staff deals on a daily basis with state and federal
permitting and enforcement staffs. We regularly meet with
regulatory agencies on behalf of our clients to negotiate terms
of permits and enforcement actions.
HRP has experience with wastewater treatment plant design and
operations in both industrial and municipal settings. Our
experience ranges from engineering treatment systems to
preparing O&M Plans. We have provided monitoring, testing, and
reporting services for permit compliance. In addition, HRP’s
Field Technical Services
staff is contracted to operate numerous groundwater remediation
wastewater treatment systems.
HRP has prepared emergency operation plans for water supply dams
and emergency action and response plans for numerous industrial
operations. We also have extensive experience providing NPDES
compliance services, including permit application preparation,
discharge monitoring, Discharge Monitoring Report preparation,
aquatic toxicity investigations, and operator training.

Water Resources
HRP offers a wide range of water resource services. Our project
experience includes hydrologic & hydraulic analyses, dam
investigations, and drainage engineering. We have prepared
applications, negotiated with regulatory agencies and
successfully obtained local and Army Corps wetlands permits,
water diversion permits, encroachment line permits, Flood
Management Certifications and Dredging & Filling permits.
