Connecticut

Environmental Compliance Specialists

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking a number of individuals with 2-5 years of experience in environmental compliance and environmental management systems. Projects vary from compliance auditing, permit and spill control plan preparation to industrial hygiene testing and implementation of environmental management systems for our corporate and college clients. Successful candidates should possess a BS degree in environmental engineering or related field. Individuals must have good oral and written communication skills and be proficient in MS Office products. Experience with ISO14000 environmental management systems training, preparation and/or implementation is a plus. Engineering or science background preferred.

 

Geologists and Engineers

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking experienced geologists, engineers and hydrogeologists with 1-7 years experience to join our offices in Farmington and Stratford, CT. We are looking for individuals who are creative and results oriented with strong backgrounds in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science, engineering, or related fields. A variety of challenging assignments will be offered to successful candidates, including the design and execution of hydrogeological investigations, remedial actions, and environmental assessments. Work scopes to include: site development, RCRA, CERCLA, environmental site assessments, due diligence, site subsurface investigations, site groundwater/soil remediation, various site remediation technologies. Responsibilities will include field team supervision, data analysis and interpretation, report preparation, budget development, and client interaction.

Candidates should possess a BS or MS, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and be proficient in MS Office products. Project Geologists/ Scientists

HRP Associates, Inc. has positions available for Geologists and Scientists or related science/engineering fields, entry level with 0-3 years experience and those with 2-5 years experience. Asbestos Monitor

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asbestos Project Monitor to join our active asbestos group to assist in HRP’s industrial lead abatement and asbestos projects. The successful candidate will have a BS degree in a relative science or engineering field and 1-3 years experience. Certifications as an Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor, as well as OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training and certifications in lead based paint, mold and indoor air quality, is preferred. Job duties will include monitoring hazardous materials abatement operations, ensuring compliance with approved work practices, conducting lead and asbestos sampling, recording field data, maintaining accurate field notes, data compilation and interpretation, performing measurements and calculations, preparing daily reports, project specifications, and technical deliverables.

 

Civil Engineer/Remediation Construction/P.E.

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking mid-level candidates with 3-5 years of experience to conduct site development engineering, site design, storm water/site planning skills and construction management on a wide variety of challenging projects. Assignments will include preparation of plans and specifications for various types of construction and environmental remediation projects, field supervision of remediation construction, interaction with design professionals and contractors, grading, drainage, and water and sewer design. Candidates should possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program and strong oral/written communication skills. Experience in environmental management and/or site development, hydrologic/hydraulic computer programs and AutoCad/Landesk for site planning and quantity estimating is desirable. An ability to obtain a P.E. within 2-3 years is preferred.

 

Remedial Design Professional

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Remedial Design Professional with 4-10 years of experience in the application of soil and groundwater remediation technologies to support existing projects and growing opportunities. The individual must be a creative team player with demonstrated experience in multiple remedial technologies applied in varying geologic conditions. Specifically, experience with the application of in-situ techniques, including soil vapor extraction, chemical oxidation, enhanced biodegradation, and/or multiple phase contaminant extraction is required. Demonstrated aptitude in all aspects of these technologies, including assessment, design, pilot testing, implementation, and optimization is preferred. Successful candidates will need to work both independently, and also within a friendly, experienced, multi-disciplined team. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. A BS in geology, engineering, hydrogeology, or chemistry, as well as curiosity and the drive to keep learning, is required. An advanced degree, EIT certification, or PE registration is a plus.

 

Certified Energy Manager

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking an Energy Engineer with 2-10 years of consulting experience in performing site energy audits and preparing facility energy baselines, providing recommendations for improvement along with energy demand and cost reduction estimates, capital retrofit estimates, energy data analysis, energy efficiency determinations, improvement measurement and verifications, etc. We are seeking candidates with strong experience in electrical and mechanical systems and installation of energy efficiency improvements in large residential, commercial and industrial facilities.

Work tasks will include conducting energy audits, developing energy efficiency improvements, identifying renewable energy and conservation projects, conducting energy training, and functioning as an on-site consultant to manage and facilitate energy and cost savings programs. Knowledge of utility data systems, metering and energy management technologies is a definite advantage.  Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

HRP Associates, Inc. (Clifton Park, NY) is seeking an individual with greater than five years of experience in safety engineering/occupational health and safety. Projects vary from OSHA compliance plan preparation, industrial hygiene sampling, safety training, and management system development for our private and public sector clients. A B.S. degree in occupational safety and health, safety or chemical engineering is preferred. Process Safety Management Engineer

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking candidates with experience in Process Safety Management, Process Hazard Analysis, and safety auditing. Must have experience in writing, preparing, inspecting, participating and teaming, and or implementing Process Safety Management Plans.  Candidates should possess a BS degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Additional skills which would be beneficial include air permit compliance experience, air toxic modeling, and waste water engineering.  Demonstrated experience in data analysis, report generation and presentation development is pertinent to this position.
